Jerel Wayne Gutgsell

Jerel Wayne Gutgsell, 24, of Lake Charles died at 5:17 PM on Saturday, May 12, 2012 in a motorcycle accident.

Jerel was born on February 23, 1988 in Tioga, LA and lived all of his life in Lake Charles. He was a graduate of Barbe High School and was a journeyman electrician.

He was an avid hunter and fisher. He had a great passion for motorcycles and enjoyed riding them. Jerel's friends were the most important things to him and he cherished every one of them.

Those left to cherish his memory are his parents, Anthony "Tony" and Donna Gibson Naquin of Lake Charles; his father, Gary Gutgsell of Texas; his sister, Haley Naquin of Lake Charles; grandparents, Audrey Naquin of Lake Charles, and James and Judy Gibson of Moss Bluff; aunts, Sandy Kinard of Lafayette, Glenda McKeon of Houston, Laura Gibson Kidder of Sulphur, and Brenda Gibson of Houston; several cousins; one niece; a Godchild; and many very special friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Sherman Naquin.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Following services, Jerel will be cremated. Visitation will begin on Wednesday at 10:00 AM until the start of the service.
