Jerry Hodgen, 68, of Sulphur, passed away on June 29, 2011 in his residence. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2011 at 12p.m.in Robison Funeral Home Chapel with Rev.Russell Beard officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Jerry is a native of Indiana and a longtime resident of Sulphur. After graduation he served his country in the US Army. Jerry moved to Sulphur in 1964 and worked in the oil field for 27 years. After retiring from the oil field he opened Sulphur Muffler Center, which he ran from 1995-2004. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. Jerry loved to hunt and fish. The family would like to thank the 3rd floor nurses at West Cal-Cam Hospital, Odyssey Hospice Care, Acadian Ambulance Service, Dr. Brian Stewart and Ms. Lou for their loving and faithful care of Jerry. Jerry is survived by his wife, Bobbie Hodgen, of Sulphur, three daughters, Paula Fortenberry and husband, Kevin of Lexington, SC., Lori Reed and daughter, Lynsey of Sulphur, and Shelly Trahan and husband, Chad of Hackberry, son, Brent Boudreaux and wife, Ashley of Montgomery,TX ., brother, John Thomas Hodgen and wife, Linda of West Virginia, four grandchildren, Madeline and Lodge Fortenberry and Reece and Calli Trahan.
