Jerry George Estaville, Phd

Jerry George Estaville, PhD., 56, of Lake Charles died Friday, June 17, 2011 as a result of a motor vehicle accident.

Dr. Estaville was born in Gardena, CA and raised in Lake Charles. He was a graduate of LaGrange High School, McNeese State University and Ryokan College. He served the United States Navy during Vietnam aboard a submarine and the United States Army as a commissioned Artillery Officer. Dr. Estaville pursued many interest in the work field and found his passion in attaining his Doctorate in Psychology. He has been a Counselor for SWLA Aids Counsel.

Dr. Estaville enjoyed riding his motorcycle, vegetable gardening, his fruit trees and horticulture.

He will be most remembered for his personality.

He leaves to honor his memory, two sons, Daniel Christopher Estaville and wife Corine of Slidell and Robert Michael Estaville and wife Gena of Lake Charles; four grandchildren, BrookLynn Hope Estaville of Canyon Country, CA, Benjamin Harrison Estaville, Thomas Ryan Estaville and Matthew Paul Estaville, all of El Paso, TX; two brothers, Lawrence Estaville, Jr. of San Marcus, TX and Benjamin Estaville of Las Vegas, NV; one sister, Elizabeth Rose Estaville of Lake Charles and nephew, Sam Gilley of Los Angeles, CA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Carmel Richey Estaville and brother, Daniel Richey Estaville.

Memorial services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, June 21, 2011 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Todd Schumacher will officiate. Interment will follow in Magnolia Cemetery in Ragley. Visitation Tuesday will be from 10:00 AM until the time of service in the funeral home.
