Jesse W. Hampton, Jr.

Mr. Jesse W. Hampton, Jr. passed away Sunday, May 24, 2015. Jesse was born on September 10, 1953 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He moved to Moss Bluff where he resided for most of his life until he moved to Ragley, Louisiana. He worked as an operator at Arch Chemicals for a total of 38 years. Jesse served in the United States Air Force. In his free time he loved to ride his motorcycle and pass the time by fishing. Left to cherish Jesse's memory is his loving wife Debbie Hampton of Ragley, LA; two sons, Jesse "Andy" Hampton and wife Alison, and Anthony "Tony" Hampton both of Moss Bluff, LA; three grandchildren; Elizabeth Hampton, Jada Hampton, and Anthony Hampton, Jr; one sister, Sharon Elizabeth Arceneaux and husband Chris of Lacassine, LA; brother, Scotty Hampton and wife Stacy of Moss Bluff, LA; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Jesse is preceded in death by his parents Jesse W. Hampton, Sr. and Mary J. Rumfola Hampton; and his brother David Hampton. Survived by his sister Sharon Elizabeth Arceneaux and husband Chris of Lacassine; brother Scotty Hampton and wife Stacy of Moss Bluff; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at First Pentecostal Church of Ragley, LA. Reverend Sean Chisholm will officiate. Burial will follow at Magnolia Cemetery in Ragley. Visitation will begin at 4:00 PM Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at the church. Visitation will resume on Thursday morning at 8:00 AM until the time of the service.
