Jessie James Duhon

Jessie James Duhon, 76, passed away Saturday, April 2, 2022, in a local care facility.

Jessie, a lifelong Sulphur resident, worked as a machinist and retired from R & L Overflow Machine Shop. He loved a good cup of coffee and fishing but spending time with his family brought him the greatest joy.  Jessie was the family jokester; he loved to make others laugh. He will be remembered for his strong faith in our Lord and love of family, and his talent for whistling.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Stephanie LeDoux and husband, Thomas, and Christina Bailey and husband, James, all of Sulphur; grandchildren, Thomas James LeDoux, Kristen Langley and husband Doug, Isabella LeDoux, Thomas James Bailey, and Jasmine Bailey; great grandchildren, Kallie Langley, Nevaeh Holbrook, Thomas James Bailey, II., and one on the way, Kadrien Carl. He will also be greatly missed by his siblings, Frank Duhon and wife Bertha of Sulphur, Margaret Vincent, and Viola Vincent both of Sulphur.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Eve Duhon; granddaughter Destanie Bailey; brothers, Jimmy and Robert Duhon; and sisters, Betty Vincent, and Helen Vincent.

Services to celebrate Jessie’s life will be held at 6pm, Sunday, April 10, 2022, at Johnson & Robison Funeral Home of Sulphur. Pastor Jay Lawson will officiate. Visitation will be held Sunday, 1pm – until time of services at 6pm.
