Jessie Reynolds

Jessie Reynolds, 81, passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2021, peacefully. 

Jessie was born on June 29, 1939, in Lake Charles, LA to James and Floy Sledge. She will be remembered as a loving mother, GranGran, Great GranGran, sister, aunt, and vivacious spirit that will truly be missed. 

She enjoyed tailgating at McNeese State University, attending LSU and pro golfing events, spending time out on the water, celebrating Mardi Gras, and anything that had to do with her grandchildren. 

She is survived by her children, Allison Reynolds (Robert Chandler), and Stephen (Donna) Reynolds; grandchildren, Karleigh (J.D. Hunt), & Konner and Kaden Reynolds; great grandchild, Braxton Guidry; siblings, Philip Sledge and Carolyn (Wayne) Nolen; and nieces, Stacy and Michelle.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and three brothers.

Her funeral service will be held at First United Methodist Church of Lake Charles Saturday, June 12, 2021, at 3 p.m. Rev. Katie Black will officiate. Visitation will be held at the church Saturday from 11 a.m. until the service begins. Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to First United Methodist Church of Lake Charles.
