Jewel Hagar Phillips

Jewel Hager Phillips, 67, passed away on April 9, 2014 in Shreveport, LA. Jewel was originally from Lake Charles and resided in Vinton with her husband, Jimmy, of 23 years. She had many friends and hobbies. She loved Jesus and liked delivering the Word of God to people all around her.

She is survived by her husband, Jimmy D. Phillips of Vinton; son, Shawn Cady and wife, Judy of Fort Worth, TX; daughter, Rachel Guillory and husband, Todd and their five children; brother, Bud Hagar of Lake Charles; aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. George Guidry. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bud and Hazel Hagar and a son, Erik Len Cady.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 13, 2014 at 1 p.m. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Shirley officiating. Burial will be in Hagar Cemetery in Ragley, LA under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 12, 2014 from 4-9 p.m. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home and will resume on Sunday at 11 a.m. until time of the service.
