Jimmy Dale O'Quain

Jimmy O’Quain, 66, passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at home surrounded by his family.  Jimmy was born in Sulphur on October 24, 1949 to Roy Lee O’Quain and Mary Gladys Abshire where he was a lifelong resident.  He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and sitting on his porch listening to French music.  Jimmy worked in the oilfield most of his life.  Jimmy was a loving father, brother, uncle and grandfather.  He was a friend to all and a stranger to none.

Jimmy is survived by his son, Shannon O’Quain and wife Chalette; one brother, Ronnie O’Quain and wife Judy; three sisters, Margaret Wilks, Sheila O’Quain and Joycelyn Swire and husband Joe; one sister in law, Laura O’Quain; four grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, James Roy (Biggs) O’Quain and one brother in law, Tommy Ray Wilks. 

Services for Jimmy will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 11 am at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home with Brother Randall Chesson officiating.  Burial will be in Big Woods Cemetery under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends on Friday, August 26, 2016 from 5-9 pm and on Saturday from 8 am until the time of service.
