Jimmy Richard Paulk

Jimmy Richard Paulk, 76, of Lake Charles, died Sunday March 8, 2015 at a local hospice facility following a brief illness. Jimmy was a native of LaCompte, LA and a long time resident of Lake Charles. He was retired from Bassell as an operator. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Richard and Eva Thomasson Paulk, sister, Vivian Trimble and child of the heart, Katherine Spalding. Those left to honor his memory are a son, Richard Scott Paulk and fiancé Shana Ashworth, Lake Charles; children of the heart, Roger Spalding, Beaumont and Debbie Winfree and husband Danny of Carlyss; brother, Shady Paulk and wife Coupie, Sulphur; sister, Verdis Cox, Pineville; granddaughters, Lacey Paulk, Hannah Paulk, and Marisa Paulk and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Tuesday March 10, 2015 at Johnson Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday at Unity Baptist Church Cemetery in Pineville, LA. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude for the compassionate and loving care that was shown to Jimmy, as well as to them, by the staff of Harbor Hospice.
