Joe Dykes

Joe Lee Dykes, 84, passed away on February 18, 2020 in a local hospital.  Joe was a resident of Sulphur for 61 years.  He was the owner of Joe’s Electrical for 60 years.  Joe served our country in the United States Air Force for six years.  Joe loved spending his spare time camping and traveling.

Joe is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Betty Dupre Dykes; three children, Jimmy Dykes and wife Ethel, Lawanna Welch and husband Danny and Jody Dykes and wife Rachel; nine grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Christina Fontenot; and his sister Carolyn Muncher. 

Services for Joe will be held on Friday, February 21, 2020 at 2 PM at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home with Pastor Arvin Harrell officiating.  Burial will follow at Big Woods Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 20, 2020 from 5-8 PM and will resume on Friday from 10 AM until the time of service.
