He was preceded in death by his parents, his mother-in-law whom he adored, Joy Barkate, and his precious niece Sharon, who always had a piece of his heart. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P. O. Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101, or to Mission Works of Enterprise Boulevard Church of Christ, 2801 Enterprise Blvd., Lake Charles, LA 70601.
