John Alvin Trouille, Sr., 85, of Westlake, LA died at 2:40 AM on Tuesday, December 14, 2010.
Mr. Trouille was born February 23, 1925 in Washington, LA and has lived in Westlake for the past fifty-eight years. He retired from Gulf States Utilities and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of St. John Bosco Catholic Church and Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church. Mr. Trouille was also a member of the Disabled American Veterans, Knights of Columbus and the Companion of Honor Society.
Mr. Trouille is survived by his wife of sixty-five years, Effie B. Trouille of Westlake, LA; three sons, Johnny Trouille and wife Dian of Orange, TX, Glenn Trouille and wife Pam of Hecker, LA, and Rev. Alan Trouille of Lake Charles; daughter, Linda Trouille Cryer and husband Gerald of DeRidder, LA; brothers, J.G. Trouille and wife Rose and Raynard Trouille; sisters, Ann Tate and husband Red and Joy Pitre and husband Donald; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Leola Trouille brother, Donner Trouille; and sister, Ollie Vidrine.
His funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 17, 2010 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church. Father Alan Trouille will officiate. Burial will follow in Westlake Memorial Park.Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home on Thursday from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a scripture service at 6:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Friday from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM.
