John David Clark

John David Clark, 61, passed away Sunday, September 5, 2010 after a lengthy illness.


John was born July 6, 1949 in New Orleans, LA and moved to Cameron in 1952. He graduated from South Cameron High School, and attended McNeese State University and LSU in Baton Rouge. He attended Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Cameron. John worked for numerous oil companies as a dispatcher. He enjoyed duck hunting, fishing, football, and photography. He had a great devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mother and the rosary.


John is survived by his mother, Sybil Baccigalopi Clark; siblings, Cecil Joseph Clark, Cecil W. Clark, III, Jennings P. Clark and wife Emily, Mary E. Clark, and Paul B. Clark; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.


He was preceded in death by his wife, Kerri Lynn Roberts Clark; father, Dr. Cecil W. Clark; three siblings, Elizabeth Diane Clark, Cecile Marie Clark, and Jack Benjamin Clark; grandparents, John Alpha and Lezima Montie Baccigalopi and Joseph P. and Elizabeth Jones Rutherford.


His funeral mass will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, September 9, 2010 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Cameron, LA. Father Tim Goodly will officiate. Burial will follow in Our Lady Star of the Sea Cemetery. Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a rosary being recited at 6:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Thursday at the church from 8:30 AM until the start of the service.


In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Our Lady of the Sea Building Fund or memorial mass in John's name.
