John Dee Weaver

John Dee Weaver, 89, of Lake Charles, LA, died at 5:21 PM on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 in a local hospital.

Mr. Weaver was born October 7, 1929 in Good Pine, LA and attended McNeese State University. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force and worked for Himont as an operator, where he retired after many years of service. Mr. Weaver enjoyed woodworking and would make trinkets and gifts for his family and friends.

Mr. Weaver is survived by his sister, Shirley Ruth Martin of Ragley; brothers, Louie E. Weaver and wife Patricia “Pat” of San Bernadino, CA and Shelton “Cooter” Weaver of Lake Charles; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.

He was preceded in death by his wife Evelyn M. Sandifer Weaver; son, Murray Lynn “M.L.” Weaver; parents, John and Evia Weaver; and brothers, Charles Weaver, Joe Weaver, and Morris Weaver.

His funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, May 19, 2019 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Brent Keating will officiate. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery in Ragley, LA. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM and continue on Sunday from 12:00 PM until the start of the service.
