John "Denver" Kaufman

John Denver Kaufman, 64, of Lake Charles, passed away suddenly Monday March 23, 2015 at his residence following a brief illness. Denver was a native and life-long resident of Lake Charles. A graduate of Lake Charles High School, he attended McNeese State University and was an assistant manager for the Lake Charles Civic Center. Preceding him in death was his father, Floyd Ralph Kaufman. He leaves to honor and cherish his memory his mother, Kathleen Harless Kaufman, Lake Charles; sister, Beth Fraser, Lake Charles; nieces, Marissa Fraser and Hensley Hayek and husband Mike, both of Baton Rouge as well as a number of aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home on Wednesday March 25, 2015 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. Visitation will continue at St. Paul Lutheran Church from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Thursday with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow services at Highland Memory Gardens.
