May 17, 1943 - February 4, 2014 John Edward Sabins, 70, of Nacogdoches, passed away on February 4, 2014, at Nacodoches Medical Center in Nacogdoches, TX. A native of Starks, LA, John was born May 17, 1943, to Opal and Pete Sabins. He lived in Vidor most of his life. He owned and operated a sandblasting and painting company in Beaumont for many years. He moved to Alpine in 2004 to manage his daughters apartments. He moved to Nacodgoches on December 20, 2013. Survivors include his wife, Debbie Sabins of Nacogdoches; son, John Robert Sabins and his wife Darla of Vidor; daughter, Belinda Vrana and her husband David of San Antonio; step-daughters, Catherine West of Grandbury, Ramona West of Weatherford, Kathryn Durham of El Paso; brothers, David Sabins, Robert Sabins and Rod Sabins; sister, Charlene Gibbs; and granddaughters, Leanne Sabins and Amanda Sabins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Pete and Opal Sabins; brother, Paul Sabins; wife, Linda Sabins; step-daughter, Cherie West. Visitation will be on Friday, February 7, 2014 from 5pm-8pm and Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 12pm.. The funeral services will be on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 2pm with burial to follow at Miller Annex Cemetery, under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home.
