John Edward Theriot, Jr.

John Edward Theriot, Jr., 84, of Lake Charles passed away on Tuesday February 9, 2021 at a Longview, Texas Hospital.

John was a native of Cameron and a longtime resident of Lake Charles. He was a retired office manager for Hemingway Furniture Company and prior to that had sold cars for Radford Buick.

John was preceded in death by his parents, John Edward (Sr.) and Merillia Marie LeBoeuf Theriot. He leaves to honor and cherish his memories his beloved wife of 66 years, Lonora Mae Bertrand Theriot, Lake Charles; son, Dennis M. Theriot and wife Bonita, Moss Bluff; grandchildren, Stephanie Renee Evans and husband Christopher, Terrell, Texas and Keri Nicole Theriot, Lake Charles; great grandchildren, James, Lily, Blake Micah and Madelynne Evans; brother, Joseph Winston Theriot and wife, Joyce, Albany, OR; and a sister, Carolyn Denise Richard, Bell City.

Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff, 2171 Hwy 171 North, Lake Charles, on Friday February 12, 2021 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a rosary to be recited at 6:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be observed at St. Theodore Catholic Church at 10:00 AM Saturday February 13, 2021 with Father Aubrey Guilbeau serving as celebrant. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens.

The family would like to recognize with extreme appreciation the doctors, nurses and staff of Rosewood Nursing Home of Lake Charles, The Willows of Kilgore, Texas and Christus Good Shepherd Hospital in Longview, Texas the heartfelt and compassionate care shown to them and their family during this difficult time.

Visitation and Funeral Services are to follow the Social Distancing Protocol of COVID 19 as well as wearing masks for the safety of the family and the public.
