Funeral services for John G. Herr, Jr., 46, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 26 at Johnson Funeral Home. John passed away Wednesday September 23, 2015 surrounded by his loved ones after a long battle with cardiovascular disease. John was a very loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and he loved his girls and spending time with his family. He also loved working on clocks. Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memories include his loving wife of 27 years, Angie Witherwax Herr; daughters Blaire and Baylee; his mother, Lorene Jett Herr, sisters Cindy Dewees and husband Dave, Dee Dee Crow and husband Mark, Janet Hoffpauir and husband Carl, Nancy Johnice and husband Merlin, Katie Wing and husband Mike, all of Lake Charles; his mother and father-in-law Roger & Christine Witherwax, and brother in law Jason Witherwax and wife, Misti; Nieces and nephews Justin and Sara Crow, Kelley and Mandy Crow, Cameron and Meagan Crow, Chelsey and Justin Bertrand, Vincent and Brandi Wing, Amanda Lehn. He was preceded in death by his daughter Brooke Elise Herr and father John G. Herr, Sr. Visitation will be today, Friday September 25, 2015, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Saturday from 10:00 AM until the hour of service. Burial will follow at Prien Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family.
