John G. Pic Ellender

John Guidry Pic Ellender, 84, passed away at 6:00 PM, Saturday, August 25, 2012 in a local hospital.

He was a native and life resident of Lake Charles and graduated from Lake Charles High School and McNeese State University. Mr. Ellender worked for South Central Bell Telephone Company for over thirty-seven years retiring as a supervisor. He was a Veteran of WW II serving in the U.S. Navy in Guam. Pic was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.

He is survived by his wife Bebe Sturdivant Ellender and his grandson, John Merrick Ellender. He was preceded in death by his on, Darrell W. Ellender.

His graveside service will be at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at Highland Memory Gardens under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Reverend Gary Evers and Robby Bacon will officiate.
