John H. Taylor, 57, of Lake Charles died at 9:00 AM on Sunday, November 18, 2012 in a local care facility.
Mr. Taylor was born on April 23, 1955 in Lake Charles, LA. He was a graduate of Iowa High School. Mr. Taylor retired from Sasol North America as an operator. He attended Memorial Baptist Church.
He enjoyed the outdoors, including camping, spending time on his house boat, riding his motorcycle, and fishing. Mr. Taylor never met a stranger and had a positive thing to say about everyone. He will be missed by many.
Those left to cherish his memory are a daughter, Sarah Taylor LeBleu and husband, Eric of Iowa; three brothers, Kenneth W. Taylor and wife Monika of Lake Charles, David W. Taylor of Lake Charles, and James L. Taylor and wife Kay of Gillis; a grandson, Hayden LeBleu of Iowa; seven nieces and nephews, Kevin Taylor, Jesse and Rachel Garn, Nicole and Rebecca Taylor, Lori Touchstone, and Cara Taylor.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Theresa and Jewel W. Taylor.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Charles Winstead will officiate. Burial will follow in LeBleu Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Tuesday from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM and will continue on Wednesday from 8:00 AM until the start of the service.
