John "Jack" Bradbury Anderson

July 18, 1991 — August 1, 2018

John “Jack” Bradbury Anderson, 27, of Sulphur died Wednesday, August 1, 2018.

Mr. Anderson born in Zachary and spent his early life in Kentwood, LA. Moving with his family to Lake Charles, he was a 2010 graduate of Sam Houston High School where he was an All Star and All District Football player. He was also a member of the Sam Houston track team and the Future Business Leaders of America.  He served the Louisiana Army National Guard for seven years and was employed by Firestone Polymers.  Mr. Anderson was a member of the American Legion Post 1 and the Sons of the American Legion.  He enjoyed hunting, playing video games and interacting and mentoring children.  He will be remembered for his cheerful disposition, kindness, helpfulness and love for others.

He leaves to cherish his memory, two brothers, Calvin Evans Anderson and James Colden Anderson, both of Moss Bluff; one sister, Sarah Elaina Anderson of DeRidder; father, Ray Anderson of DeRidder; maternal grandparents, Col ® James Alton “Jim” Jackson and Constance “Fair” Hardin Jackson of Moss Bluff; paternal grandmother, Nancy Balko of Illinois; step-grandmother, Regina Anderson of Kansas cousins, Sean Jackson Norris and his family of Michigan and Mika Anderson Dawson and her family of Kansas.

He also leaves his fiancé, Amberly Kroger of Sulphur and her children, Adi Hill, Talan Hill and Easton Fontenot.

Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Jackson Anderson; uncle, James Edward Jackson and grandfather, Tom Anderson.

A gathering of family and friends will begin at 9:00 AM on Saturday, August 4, 2018 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Memorial services will follow at 10:00 AM.  The Reverend Roger Pete will officiate along with American Legion President Unit 1 Post 1, Mary Rothermel and Commander Squad room 1 of the Sons of the American Legion, Clyde Dugas.  Interment services Saturday will be at 1:30 PM in Woodland Cemetery in Kentwood, LA.
