John "Johnny" Voorhies Carriere

John Voorhies "Johnny" Carriere, 32, of Lake Charles passed away Friday, February 05, 2016 following a motorcycle accident.

Mr. Carriere lived most of his life in Lake Charles and attended Sulphur High School. He was currently working for Amp Electric as an Electrical Apprentice. He always enjoyed drawing, sketching, painting and was a talented Tattoo artist. He also always enjoyed motorcycles, from "crotch rockets to Harleys", he rode them all. His greatest love was his family and the time he spent with his children. Mr. Carriere will be most remembered for his sense of humor and making people laugh.

He leaves to honor his memory, his parents, Ricky John and Deanna Mobley Carriere of Lake Charles; three children, Ethan Michael, Jared Allen and Ava Danielle Carriere, of Sulphur; the mother of his children, Amanda Guillory of Sulphur; grandparents, Annette Mobley of LeBleu Settlement and James and Dorothy Pellerin of Lake Charles; uncle, Mark Mobley; aunt, Melanie Mobley and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Jarred Michael Carriere and grandparents, Voorhies and Elvie Carriere and James C. Mobley.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 09, 2016 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Father Keith Pellerin will officiate. Interment will follow in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation Monday will be from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary beginning at 6:00 PM. Visitation Tuesday will be from 8:00 AM until the start of the service in the funeral home.
