John Manuel

John Garrett Manuel, 18, of Iowa, LA passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2013 as the result of an auto accident.

John was born February 19, 1995 in Lake Charles and has lived in both Fort Worth, TX and Iowa, LA. He enjoyed his job at the Allen Parish Correctional Facility, where he was a security officer. He also loved spending time with his family and friends.

Those left to cherish John's memories are his mother, Aimee Soileau and her husband Jason Soileau; father, John Manuel and his wife Sommer; brother, Ethan Manuel; sister, Kaitlyn Soileau, all of Iowa, LA; step-sisters, Carli Hendricks of Oberlin, LA, Monica Soileau and Brianna Hebert, both of Iowa, LA; step-brother, Jason Soileau, Jr. of Fort Worth, TX; grandparents, Perry and Mary Manuel and Harold and Sheila Hermann, all of Iowa, LA; and great-grandmothers, Shirley Hermann of Lake Charles and Ella Lalanne of Iowa, LA.

His funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 9, 2013 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend John Waters will officiate. Burial will follow in Lacassine Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM and continue on Thursday from 8:00 AM until the start of the service.
