John Nathan Hebert

John Nathan Hebert, 89, of Lake Charles, Louisiana, died March 10, 2024, in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

Mr. Hebert was born in Gueydan, Louisiana and lived in Lake Charles, Louisiana from 1958 to 2024. He retired from Conoco after 30 years. He was a parishioner of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. He loved sports of all kinds, but mostly baseball games.

Mr. Hebert is survived by his wife of 68 years, Ella Bernia Bertrand Hebert; son, Marcus Hebert (Lisa) of Lacassine; daughter, Shively Verrette (Donald) of Lake Charles; sister, Theresa Couvillion. He is also survived by four grandchildren and their spouses; Jonathan Hebert (Rebecca), Morgan Verrette Nelson (Aaron), Carrie Hebert Klein (Jacob), Kelley Verrette Gueringer (Cody); seven great grandchildren; Anna Leigh Hebert, Emma Kate Hebert, Olivia Claire Nelson, Caroline Aleise Klein, Elijah Emile Gueringer, Noah David Nelson, Catherine Jade Klein.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Emile and Emily Hebert, brothers Remie, Joseph, and Lindsey Hebert; sisters, Bertha Broussard, Elizabeth Hebert, Bernice Mouton, and Laura Dell Sauvant.

His celebration of life with Monsignor Jace Eskind officiating will be at Johnson Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. Visitation will be Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. with a rosary at 12:30 P.M. The burial will be at Consolata Cemetery following the service.
