He is also survived by his favorite cousin, Donna Jo Turkovich Hajduk, of Monesson, Pennsylvania, sharing many hours of telephone conversations over the years. Mr. Nix was preceded in death by his parents Clifford & Eva Nix and niece Summer Lynn Reed. Mr. Nix's family would like to extend their gratitude to the "Angels of Mercy" at Harbor Hospice in Lake Charles for their special care and treatment during his illness. Also to the nursing staff and hospitalists at the West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital for their compassion and excellent care. A memorial service will be held at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home, Sulphur, Louisiana at 10AM on Friday September, 19, 2014 with Father Aubrey Guilbeau, M.S. officiating. Visitation will be from 5PM to 7PM on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at the funeral home. Burial will be at the National Cemetery in Leesville, Louisiana with full Military Honors.
