John Ray Leblanc

November 1, 1932 — August 14, 2014

A native of Hathaway and resident of LeBleu Settlement, John passed from this life to his eternal home on Thursday, August 14 at the age of 81. He is a U.S. Veteran having served our country during the Korean War. After serving, John became a truck driver working for Kroger from which he retired. He attended St. Joseph's Chapel in LeBleu along with St. Raphael's Catholic Church in Iowa. Left to cherish his memory are his children John Ray LeBlanc, Jr. (wife Kimberly) of Moss Bluff and Sheila Ann LeBlanc of LeBleu Settlement; sisters, Joyce and Mamie Bertrand; five grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife and the mother of his children Martha Courville LeBlanc, his second wife Shirley Verret Leblanc, and parents Joe and Ada LeBlanc. Visitation will be on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at Johnson Funeral Home (4321 Lake Street in Lake Charles) from 12:00pm until Funeral Service at 2:00pm officiated by Rev. Andreas Kedati. Burial will be private.
