John Stephen Baker

John Stephen Baker, 22, of Sulphur passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2014. Services for John will be held on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at 11 am at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Sulphur with Father Richard officiating. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Monday, October 27, 2014 from 4-9 pm with a Cursillo rosary at 6:30 pm. John had a sweet, free spirit with a passion for art. He was a 2010 graduate of Sulphur High School and a 2014 graduate of McNeese State University. He was a member of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity and the Art club. He loved the outdoors, hunting and auto racing. John was a member of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church where he was also a Lector. He was employed by Brick House Printing and a long time employee of Kohl's. John is loved and will be missed by all. John is survived by his parents, Stephen and Yolanda Baker; sister, Elizabeth Anne Baker; maternal grandparents, Thomas (Shooky) and Lonnie Meyers all of Sulphur; and paternal grandparents, Kermit and Sylvia Manuel and Phil and Chris Baker all of Kinder; numerous aunts, uncles and extended family; and his dog, Terry.
