John Thomas LeBlanc, 71, of Sulphur passed away peacefully Sunday, August 16, 2020 at his home.
He was born October 7, 1948 in Cameron, LA to L.J. and Linda LeBlanc. When called upon, John proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1968 to 1971. He retired from Lyondell Bassell after 31 years and he recently retired for a second time; working for WHC Pipeline as a traveling safety-man. John was a member of the Knights of Columbus for 50 years and a member of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, spending time with his family and his dog, Moses.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 51 years, Rebecca Leblanc; son, Marc Leblanc; and his sisters, Evelyn Landry and husband, Kirk; Carllotta Boudoin and husband Randall.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and three siblings, Helen LeBlanc, Junious LeBlanc, and Antoinette LeBlanc.
A Mass of Christian will be celebrated at 11am. Wednesday, August 19, 2020 in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church. Visitation will be held 5pm – 8pm, Tuesday, August 18, 2020 with a recitation of the Rosary at 6pm in Johnson & Robison Funeral Home of Sulphur. Visitation will resume at the funeral home Wednesday, 9am until time to leave for church at 10:30. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery North of Sulphur.
