John Vige

John Larry Vige, 59, of Lake Charles died Wednesday, July 16, 2014 in his residence. Larry was born November 25, 1954 in Ville Platte, LA to John W. and Hazel Vige. John Larry Vige was an avid Saints and LSU fan and enjoyed watching football with family and friends. He loved fishing and driving and competing in drag races. He worked for Tommasi Bros. for 19 years as a truck driver. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Lena Vige; two sons, John Aaron and wife Heather of Lake Charles and son Joshua Vige of Lake Charles; two grandchildren, Whitney Belle and A.J.; one brother, Jerry Vige and wife Mickie L. of Lake Charles; two nephews, Jerald Vige and Jody Vige and numerous others. He is preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be at 2:30 pm Friday, July 18, 2014 at Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday, July 17, 2014 from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm with a 6:30 pm rosary. Visitation will resume Friday, July 18, 2014 at Johnson Funeral Home from 8:00 am until time of service. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery. Monsignor Danny Torres will officiate.
