John Ward Roark

John Ward Roark, 64, of Lake Charles passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2023 in his residence.

Mr. Roark was born on November 25, 1958 in Kaptai, East Pakistan and was raised in Merryville where he was a graduate of Merryville High School.  He retired from Citgo as a logistics manager after many years of service. 

In his spare time, he and his wife enjoyed traveling.  He had a huge heart for his three pet cats.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Tyler Roark of Moss Bluff, Lindsey Roark of Moss Bluff, and Kristi Thompson (James) of Lacassine; siblings, Pete Leathard of Alaska and Mavis Wright of New Zealand; and his grandchildren, Conor, Jena, Abigail, Carter, and Layla.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lisa Roark and his parents, Jane and Guy Roark.

Cremation was entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.
