Johnise Diann Vest

Johnise Diann Vest was born September 14, 1967, in Baton Rouge, LA. to Jackie and Johnny Hargrove.

She lived the majority of her life in Moss Bluff, where she raised her family with her beloved husband Stan. While Stan worked to support the family, she remained home to raise their two daughters, Dani and Sadie Jo. Above all, family was the most important to her, not only was she a loving mother, but also a great cook. Many nights were spent listening to her stories as she cooked in the kitchen. She was never more than a phone call away from her family and friends if they needed a confidant, friend, or just to visit.

Johnise passed away in Lake Charles, LA on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at the age of fifty-six surrounded by the ones she loved most.

She was preceded in death by her father, Johnny Hargrove.

Those left to cherish her memory, her beloved husband of twenty-nine years, Stanley “Stan” Vest; two daughters, Sadie Jo Vest and Dani Cooley and husband Seth, both of Ragley, LA; a granddaughter on the way, Linley Cooley; mother, Jackie Hargrove; sister, Staci Bellon of Moss Bluff.

With respect to her wishes, services will be private. Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff.
