Johnny Myron Chargois

Johnny Myron Chargois, 77, passed away on January 21, 2023, in a local care center.
He was employed by and served at First Baptist Church of Sulphur for over 40 years. He spent many years working for the Calcasieu Cameron (Cal-Cam) Fairgrounds. He also started his own grounds keeping business doing what he loved which was cutting grass and maintaining yards. The felines of the neighborhood always knew where they could go for shelter and enjoy a good meal because he loved taking care of the neighborhood feral cats. He attended First Baptist Church and Maplewood Baptist Church of Sulphur over the years. Recently became a member of Olivet Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert, and Agnes Gardner Chargois, as well as his sister, Annie Chargois Welch and brothers, Jimmy, Joe and Eddie Chargois.
He was survived by his sister, Mary L. Chargois and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be at 2:30 PM, Friday, February 3rd, 2023, at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home, the family will receive friends from 12:00 PM, until time of service. Burial will follow at Big Woods Cemetery, under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral home.
