Jordan Blake Meyers

Jordan Blake Meyers, age 20, passed away Monday, December 13, 2010.

A resident of Ponchatoula and formerly of Iowa, he was a laborer for a maintenance company. Jordan was a loyal LSU and Saints fan. Preceding him in death was his father, Patrick Meyers, a brother, Arnold Meyers, and his paternal grandparents, Gustave and Patsy Meyers. Jordan will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his mother, Rachel Landry; three sisters, Alexis, Haleigh, and Jade Meyers; one brother, Shane Meyers; his aunts and uncles, Sherry Meyers, Robbin Oliver and husband, Bobby, Susan Soileau and husband, Curtis, Gayla Strahan and husband, Wade, Claudette Landry, Claudia Cradeur, Pauline Barker and husband, Leslie, Shelly Koonce and husband, Russell, Christy Duplechain and husband, Shane, Rufus Landry, Jason Landry and companion, Kim Johnson, and Ernie Landry; his maternal grandparents, Shirley Landry and Ernest Landry; a special cousin he looked at as a his brother, Cody Strahan; and numerous cousins.

His funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, December 17, 2010, at Johnson Funeral Home. Brother Alan Weishampel will officiate. Burial will follow in LeBleu Cemetery in Chloe, LA. Visitation will be held on Thursday, from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. and again on Friday from 8 a.m. until time of service.
