Jordan Scott Sonnier, 19, of Moss Bluff, LA, died on Thursday, August 27, 2015 in a local hospital. Jordan was born August 24, 1996 in Lake Charles, LA and lived in Moss Bluff for all of his life. He attended Sam Houston High School and enjoyed playing video games and wrestling with his brothers. Jordan loved to spend time with his friends and his family, and his son will always hold a special place in his heart. Jordan lived his life to the fullest and will continue to live on in others through organ donation. Jordan is survived by his son, Carsten Grey Sonnier; mother, Michelle Roth and boyfriend Kim Martin of Moss Bluff; father, Scott Sonnier and wife Erica of Westlake, LA; fiancée, Cecilie Lial of Lake Charles; siblings, Kelsey Sonnier and partner Hali LeJeune, Kade Martin, Taylor Nguyen, Alexis Sonnier, Courtney German, Bryce Simon, and Gage Simon; grandparents, Gary and Theresa Roth, Chang Martin, Brenda Sonnier, Kathleen Broussard and Bernie and Brenda Broussard; great-grandmother, Verdie Thibodeaux; nephew, Brayden Gillett; and numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and family. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ernest Martin and Richard Sonnier. His funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Paula Raley will officiate. Cremation will follow the service. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM and continue on Tuesday from 9:00 AM until the start of the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family for Carsten's future.
