Joseph C. Jaramillo, 31, of Westlake passed away in the early morning of Wednesday, January 15, 2014. Joseph was born in Lake Charles, LA to Ramiro and Kathleen Jaramillo of Westlake on February 2, 1982. He graduated from Parkview Baptist High School in 2000. Joseph attended Unitech Training Academy and received a degree for Physical Therapy Technician. He was ordained as a minister of the Universal Life Church Monastery. Joseph was well known for his great personality and his loving friendship. He always knew how to make light of any situation. Joseph went above and beyond for the happiness of everyone around him. Joseph is survived by his parents, Ramiro and Kathleen Jaramillo of Westlake; his brother, Brett Jaramillo and wife, Ashley of Westlake and their four daughters; his sister, Brianna Jaramillo of Westlake; his younger brother, Cameron Banister of Westlake; grandparents, Jimmie and Jennell Foster of Westlake and Lilia Jaramillo of Refugio, TX and many loving uncles, aunts and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Manuel Jaramillo of Bayside, TX. A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, January 17, 2014 at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home Chapel in Sulphur, LA. The family will receive friends on Friday from 10 a.m. at the funeral home until time of the service. The family is requesting that there be no flowers, but instead donations be made to the American Heart Association.
