Joseph Joe Allen Hazi

Joseph Joe Allen Hazi, 60, of Lake Charles, LA died at 4:20 AM on Monday, July 15, 2013 in his residence.

Joe was born February 17, 1953 in Lake Charles, LA, where he lived all of his life except for nine years he lived in St. Croix. He graduated from LaGrange High School in 1971. He worked as an SAP Engineer for Cities Service (CITGO) and retired from Hovensa in Christiansted, V.I. He enjoyed scuba diving and sail boats and loved music and dancing. His family was very important to him; he will be missed dearly.

Joe is survived by his wife, Holly S. Hazi; mother, Betty Ellen Kneppers Hazi Roberts; children, Cheri Lynn Hazi, Jennifer Leigh Hazi and Elizabeth Ann Hazi; brother, Michael D. Hazi and wife Jami; grandchildren, Nevaeh Eve Watkins, Braden Thornton and Adisyn Jae Powell; and nephews, Jeremiah H. Hazi and David Lee Hazi.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Edward Hazi; brother, Richard Lee Hazi; and grandchild, Ashley Angel Cammack.

His memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Sunday, July 21, 2013 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. A gathering of family and friends will be from 9:00 AM until the start of the service and continue after the service until 1:00 PM.

A memorial service will also be held in St. Croix at a later date.
