Funeral services for Mr. Joseph Joe Bush, 75, of Sulphur, will be held Saturday, July 24, 2010 in Robison Funeral Home Chapel at 2pm. Rev. W.T. Darnell will officiate. Burial will follow in Mimosa Pines Cemetery, Carlyss. Visitation will begin on Friday, July 23rd from 4pm " 9pm and resume on Saturday, from 8am " until time of service. Mr. Bush passed away on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 in Sulphur surrounded by his loving family. He is preceded in death by his parents: James & Bessie Bush and sister, Barbara Ann Bush. Joe married Melba Knippers on May 1, 1955 in DeQuincy, Louisiana and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Sulphur. He served his Country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War where he was an Airman 1st Class, Fire Fighter and Rescue. He was honorably discharged in 1956. He worked at Firestone Tire & Rubber Plant in Sulphur and later owned & operated Hollywood Conoco, Bushs Wrecker Service and Bushs Conoco & Tune up. Mr. Bush was active in the recreation dept of Maplewood, coaching boys baseball & basketball from 1964 " 1994, receiving recognition in 2000 with an honorary position on the Wall of Honor at SPAR in Sulphur. Joe loved to fish, hunt, watch grand and great-grand children play sports and watch his Dallas Cowboys or Atlanta Braves on TV. Family was his life and spending as much time with them was his passion. Carrying Mr. Bush to his final resting place will be Pallbearers: David Cotton, Stoney Cotton, Mike Consunado, Tim Karbowski, Mike Karbowski and Stuart Pelt. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years: Mrs. Melba Bush, Sulphur; Son: Randall Wayne Bush & wife Connie, Sulphur; Daughter: Pamela Bush White & husband Steve, Sulphur; Grandchildren: Ethan James Bush & wife Allison, Baton Rouge; Hayley Bush Little & husband David, Trophy Club, Tx; Keri White Leger, Sulphur; Whitney White, Sulphur; Great grandchildren: Keighly Paige Leger, Kolby Scott Leger, Jackson David Little, Ethan James Bush, Jr., William Will Roy Little ~ coming soon; 2 Sisters: Shirley B.
