Joseph "Joe" William Wood

Joseph “Joe” William Wood, 74, of Sulphur, LA passed away on July 21, 2022.

Joe was born on October 22, 1947, in Charlotte, NC to Wendell and Irma Wood. He enjoyed the great outdoors, fishing, and spending time with family. Joe liked politics and football and proudly served his country for 10 years in the U.S. Army serving two tours in Vietnam in special forces. He retired from Equistar Chemicals after many years of serving in the Petrochemical Industry.

Those left to cherish his memory are his three children, Tony Wood and wife Ashley, Joseph Wood and wife Monica, and Darci Wood; three grandchildren, Cade, Macie, and Seth; three siblings, Charlie Wood, Neva Scarbrough, and Patricia Wood.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Wendell and Irma Wood.

In honor of Mr. Joe’s wishes, services will be private under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home.
