Joseph Terrell Guillory, 65, of Lake Charles died Saturday, November 02, 2013 in Galveston, TX. Mr. Guillory was born in Mamou, LA and has lived most of his life in Lake Charles. He was a graduate of LaGrange High School. He was currently working as a Bailiff with the Ward 3 Marshal's Office. Mr. Guillory retired a Fire Marshal with the State Fire Marshal's Office following over twenty years of service. He enjoyed motorcycle riding, countless years of bowling and was an avid outdoorsman. His passion was hunting and fishing and he was a member of the North American Fishing and Hunting Clubs. He was a great dancer; his greatest times were spent on the dance floor. Mr. Guillory will be most remembered as a kind man, devoted husband, father and son. "He loved life and lived it". He leaves to honor his memory, his parents, Clifford and Dorothy Johnson Guillory of Lake Charles; one daughter, Jennifer Renee' Peppers and husband Paul of Rome, GA; one son, 1st LT. Joseph Brian Guillory and wife Robin of Fort Bragg, NC; three grandchildren, Joseph Michael Guillory of Rome, GA, CPL. Steven Winfield Rushing of Fort Hood, TX and Adriana' Lauren Shuff of Rome, GA; three step grandchildren; one step great-grandchild and a dear friend, Keitha Fontenot of Lake Charles, LA. He was preceded in death by his wife, Connie Williams Guillory. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, November 07, 2013 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Chris Fuselier will officiate. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation Thursday will be from 10:00 AM until the time of service in the funeral home.
