Joseph Whitney Thibodeaux, Sr.

Joseph Whitney Thibodeaux Sr, 58 departed this life on Friday, October 5, 2012.

A resident of Lake Charles, Louisiana he served in the U.S. Air Force for 4 years. Joseph retired as a Lab Analyst from Citgo Refinery after 33 years. He was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church and Cursillia Prayer Movement. A hardworker, he will be remembered as a loving, giving and loyal person.

He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 39 years, Rosita Deville Thibodeaux; one son, Joseph Whitney (Krystal) Thibodeaux II; one daughter, Melissa Ann Thibodeaux; one brother, Emmanuel Thibodeaux; four grandchildren, Olivia Rose Thibodeaux, Joseph Whitney Thibodeaux III, Mary Katharine Henry and Kyla Gabriel Thibodeaux and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Juanita and Ellis Thibodeaux.

Funeral Services will be at 10:30AM Saturday, October 13, 2012 at St. Henry Catholic Church. Monsignor Daniel A. Torres will officiate. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be Saturday 8AM-10:00 AM at Johnson Funeral Home. A Cursillia Rosary will be recited at 8:30AM.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Henry Catholic Church Right to Life Ministry in memory of Joseph Whitney Thibodeaux Sr. Special thanks to doctors, nurses, and staff of Women and Children Hospital ICU Unit and Dr. Goolsby and staff.
