Joshua Michael Vaughan, 32 passed away on March 31, 2014 in Jackson, MS . Joshua was born in Sulphur and a graduate of Hackberry High School. He lived in Hackberry, LA, West Monroe, LA, Hot Springs, AR and Brandon, MS. Joshua was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Flowood , MS. He was a licensed boat captain and an avid LSU fan. Joshua loved fishing, hunting, baseball and football. The love of his life was his nieces and nephew and most people knew him by his nick names Bubba or Big Show .
Joshua is survived by his parents, Michael and Toni Vaughan; brother, Randall Vaughan and wife, Caroline; sister, Kristi Griffin and husband, Adam; 2 nieces, Addelyn Addy Griffin and Isabella Isa Vaughan; nephew, Nicolas Nico Vaughan all of Brandon, MS; grandparents, Harvy and Patricia Vaughan of Sulphur; 2 god children, Dahli Dennis and Hadleigh Hicks both of Hackberry and numerous aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles Kenny and Patsy Dennis.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Aubrey Guilbeau officiating. Burial will be at Mimosa Pines Cemetery in Carlyss under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. with a rosary at 6 p.m. and will resume on Thursday at 8 a.m. until time of the service.
