Joshua Cain Stutes

Joshua Cain Stutes, 34, died Friday March 28, 2014 at his residence in Moss Bluff following a long, brave battle with Muscular Dystrophy. Josh was born June 21, 1979 in Lake Charles He was a lifelong resident of Moss Bluff and graduate of Sam Houston High School. He was a member of First Pentecostal Church. Josh was a special mentor to Zach Donahue as well as his other nieces and nephews. Josh is survived by his parents, Mike and Dougie McKlemurry Stutes, Moss Bluff; brothers, Shane Stutes, Lake Charles, Chris McKlemurry, Moss Bluff, Jason Stutes, Lake Charles, Chad Stutes, Austin, TX, and Brandon Stutes, Moss Bluff; a sister, Angel Abercrombie; God child, Adelyn Stutes; maternal grandfather, Frank McKlemurry, Lake Charles; and companion and friend, Cassandra Guillory, Moss Bluff. Visitation will be at the First Pentecostal Church on Monday from 4:00 to 9:00 PM. Visitation will continue at the Church on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM. Funeral Services will be at First Pentecostal Church on Tuesday April 1, 2014 at 2:00 PM with the Rev. Jeffery Ralston officiating. Burial will be at New Ritchie Cemetery in Moss Bluff. He is now running the streets of gold. I can see him now standing straight and tall, free of pain and worry. Please keep the entire Stutes family in your prayers during this difficult time. A piece of all of us died on the night of March 28. Josh Stutes, you were an inspiration. You defied all odds. Thank you, Jesus, for allowing us to have him for almost 35 years. Our lives are forever changed.
