Joshua Keith "Josh" Broussard

February 7, 1980 — September 5, 2017

Joshua Keith Broussard, 37, of Lake Charles passed away Tuesday, September 05, 2017.

 

Josh was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles and a graduate of Barbe High School. He worked many years for J&J Exterminating Co. and was currently working for Mattress Headquarters.  He enjoyed watching sports, cooking and vegetable gardening.  Some of Josh’s greatest times were spending time with his nephews, fishing in Toledo Bend with his grandfather and playing with his “baby dog”, Jazzie.  Josh was of great faith and attended Church of the King.  He will be most remembered for his kind, loving heart and giving nature.  He genuinely cared about others.

 

He leaves to cherish his memory, his father, Philip Bryan Broussard and wife Simone of Lake Charles; mother, Cynthia “Jeanie” Goodeaux and husband Greg of Carlyss; two brothers, Matthew Bryan Broussard and wife Cassie of Lake Charles and Philip Brandon Broussard of Shreveport; two nephews, Brandon Michael Broussard and Adam Joseph Broussard; paternal grandfather, Donald James Broussard of Lake Charles; maternal grandmother, Helen Carroll of DeRidder. He also leaves many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

 

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Laurene Ruckstuhl Broussard and maternal grandfather, Louis Franklin Carroll.

 

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, September 09, 2017 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Todd Schumacher will officiate.  Interment will follow in Consolata Cemetery.  Visitation Friday will be from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM and will continue Saturday from 8:00 AM until the time of the service.

 

Memorial donations may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children at shrinershospitalsforchildren.org.
