Josie H. Moreau

Josie Helen Burguieres Moreau, 73, of Lake Charles died on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 in her residence.

Mrs. Moreau was born on January 8, 1939 in Norco, LA and has lived in Lake Charles for over 35 years. She was of the catholic faith and attended Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Her passion was her family and loved working in her garden.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, John Raymond Moreau; sons, John Raymond Moreau, II and Steven Paul Moreau and his wife Brenda; daughters, Pam (Moreau) Lindsay and husband Casey, and Carla (Moreau) Foy and husband Brandon; grandchildren, Brent Douglass, Kimberly Moreau, Morgan Moreau McCann, Jeffery Moreau, Matthew Moreau, Tristan Moreau and Connor Lindsey; great grandchildren, Frankie Adams, Amber Douglass and Zack Douglass, and Jacob Adams; and four sisters, Dolores B. LeBlanc, Patricia B. Fernandez, Gail B. Cambre and Elodie Burguieres.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jules M. Burguieres, III; mother, Elodie M. (Bergeron) Burguieres; her daughter, Angela Moreau Douglass and her husband James Steve Douglass; father of Morgan Moreau McCann, Judson Trip McCann and the father of Tristan Moreau, Kevin Mitch Miller; two sisters, Barbara B. Mier and Peggy B. Baudouin.

Her Funeral Mass will be at 1:00 PM, Saturday, September 22, 2012 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Destrehan, LA. The Rev. Thomas M. McCann will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation on Saturday will be from 11:00 AM until the time of the service in the church.
