Josie Thompson

Josie Thompson, 44, passed away Friday, April 2, 2021 at her residence.

She was born on July 25, 1976 in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

Josie enjoyed spending time with her family, vacations on the beach, and watching the New Orleans Saints. She will be remembered for the love she had for her family and for her strong work ethic.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, the loves of her life, Alexis (Lexie) Ancelet and Brennan Thompson; mother, Jenny Leger; Fiance, Joe Larick; step-sister, Michelle Leger; uncle, Bill Glaspool; and nephew, Elijah Fairman.

Josie was preceded in death by her father, Preston Thompson; sister, Susan Thompson; maternal grandparents, Bill and Louise Glasspool; paternal grandmother, Betty Jo Robertson; and step-father, Jim Leger.

Her funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 9, 2021 at First Pentecostal Church of Lake Charles under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Pastor Jeff Ralston will officiate. Visitation will be held at the church from noon until the start of the service. Burial will take place in Rigmaiden Cemetery in Dequincy, LA following the service.
