Joy Pruett

Joy Johnette Pruett, 51 of Starks passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 as a result of an automobile accident. Joy grew up in a home of love and laughter. She was a graduate of LaGrange High School. She was employed at Hebert's Store in Vinton. Joy loved her grandbabies. She was an animal lover and loved frogs too. She has a star named after her called the "Joy Star." Joy was an utterly honest woman all the time. Although she had a different sense of humor, she was a loving and caring daughter, mom, aunt, sister, and grandmother. Joy was also a loving and devoted daughter to her mom and dad. Joy is survived by her daughter, Tiffany Westlund and husband Bryan; her son, Tim Sedlock and wife Heather; her parents, Johnie and Barbara Pruett; sisters, Annette Youngblood, Melody Strother and Stacy Gore; nine grandchildren; and aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at 1 P.M. at First Baptist Church of Vinton with Rev. Bobby Daniel officiating. Burial will be in Nibletts Bluff Cemetery in Vinton under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Monday, September 14, 2015 from 5-9 pm at First Baptist Church of Vinton and resume on Tuesday September 15, 2015 from 9 am until the time of service.
