Joyce LeBlanc Calhoun, 79, of Lake Charles passed away, Sunday, October 10, 2010 in a local hospital.
She was a native of Lake Charles and lived in Lafayette prior to her retirement when she moved back to Lake Charles to be with her children. Mrs. Calhoun worked as a Nurse Anesthetist and retired from Our Lady of Lourdes hospital in Lafayette.
Survivors include her daughter, Cynthia Knox Carlson and husband Keith; one son, Steven Knox and wife Shelly all of Lake Charles; grandchildren, Jennifer Carlson Walker and husband Seth, Steven Paul, Sara, MaKinley, and James Robert Knox, Jeremy Carlson and wife Chelsea, Daniel Nunez, and Christopher Heummer; Step-grandchildren: Chelsea Broussard and Lacey Calhoun; great grandson, Brayden Knox; Son-in-Law, Ted Nunez, and Daughter-in-Law, Penny Byrnes. She was preceded in death by her husband Bill Calhoun; children, Mark and Patrick Knox, and Suzanne Nunez; and the father of her children, Bob Knox.
Her Memorial Service will be at 1:00 PM, Saturday, October 16, 2010 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Monsignor Harry Grieg will officiate. A gathering of family and friends will be from 11:00 AM until time of service, Saturday, in the funeral home.
