Joyce Landry

On August 13, 2021, Luanna Joyce Landry, 71, went to her Heavenly home while in a local hospital.

She was born February 20, 1950 in Grand Chenier, LA and resided in Lake Charles.

Mrs. Landry will be remembered as a devoted and loving wife of fifty-two years to Carroll G. Landry; loving mother to Robin Keenum, Michelle Melton, and Glenn Landry (Candy Norris); she was “Mammie” to grandchildren, Justin Landry, Robin Onxley (Cody), Rachel Melton, John Will Melton and special companion, Dixie; great-grandchildren, Tristan Lee and Charlee Grace; siblings, Dorothy Landry, Mary Jane Thibodeaux, Wilfred Lee “Pete” Domingue; and several nieces and nephews, including special nephew, Cade Domingue.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Enis Domingue, Sr. and Azelia M. Domingue; brothers, Walter Leo Domingue and John Domingue.

Her funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at University Baptist Church.  Reverend John Asling will officiate.  Burial will follow in the Southwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Jennings, LA, under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.  Visitation will be at the church on Wednesday from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with a rosary at 6:00 PM.  Visitation will continue on Thursday from 9:00 AM until the start of the service.
