Joyce Tolbert

Joyce Marie Boudreaux Tolbert, 74, of Lake Charles passed away Friday, May 03, 2013 in a local hospital.

Mrs. Tolbert was born in Andrew, LA raised in Orange, TX and has lived most of her life in Lake Charles. She enjoyed watching HBN and QVC, shopping, traveling and vacationing in Vegas. Her greatest joy was her family as she was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Tolbert attended St. Luke Simpson Methodist Church.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of fifty-four years, John W. Tolbert of Lake Charles; two daughters, Donna Allison and husband Blaine of Lake Charles and Lisa Marie Tolbert Fontenot of Westlake; five grandchildren, Richard Trahan of Lake Charles, David Trahan of Virginia Beach, VA, Nicole Marie Fontenot of Lake Charles, Paula Kay LaFleur of Westlake and John Paul LaFleur of Lake Charles; five great-grandchildren, Waylon, Hailey, Riley, Trey and Alexander; two brothers, Otis Wayne Boudreaux and wife Paulette and Jimmy Boudreaux and wife Stacy, both of Lake Charles and three sisters, Yvonne Carpenter of Lake Charles, Elise Boudreaux of Iowa and Aline Ortego and husband James of Reeves.

She was preceded in death by a twin daughter, Cynthia Diane LaFleur and her parents, Otis and Mabel Crochet Boudreaux.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Monday, May 06, 2013 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Betty Northern will officiate. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation Sunday will be from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM and will continue Monday from 8:00 AM until the time of service in the funeral home.
