Joyce Wethey Jemison

Joyce Wethy Jemison, age 69, passed away January 8, 2011.

She was a life long resident of Westlake who enjoyed spending time with her family.

Survivors include her two daughters, Renee Young of Westlake and Cindy Tauzin and husband, Mitch of San Antonio, TX; one son, Allen Hancock and wife, Karen of Alaska; her companion, Clyde Venable of Lake Charles; one sister, Mary Jo Schroeder of Westlake; eight grandchildren, Brandi and Kari Young, Kayla, Scott, Jessica, and Allison Hancock, and Ashley and David Tauzin; and two great-grandchildren, Bryce and Reece Young.

Her funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, January 11, 2011, at Johnson Funeral Home. Rev. Oliver McGuire will officiate. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery in Westlake. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 10, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. and again on Tuesday, January 11, from 8 a.m. until time of service.
